Provocante is a 100% Meunier champagne from Champagne Piot-Sévillano in the little village Vincelles in the Marne valley.
It shows lovely fruitiness and the added amount of 6,5g of sugar balances is well of.
On the palate we enjoy lots of stone fruit like peach and apricot.
Try this as aperitif, but do also enjoy it with fish, chicken or some lovely cheese.
About Champagne Piot-Sévillano
In the small village with only 300 people we find Christine and Vincent, the couple in charge of the family prouduction of champagne.
Christine is the 10. generation in her family to take care of the vineyards and she actually gave up a life working as jounalist in Paris, to move back home and take over the champagne production after her parents.
Christine and Vincent have continued to produce some of the cuvees that has been produced by Christines parents and grand-parents before her. But they have also added some new champagnes, like this one – a 100% Meunier – and two quite special champagnes as well, the Rebelle 100% Chardonnay and the Impertinente 100% Pinot Noir.
At Champagne Piot-Sévillano they are focusing on producing grapes and making champagne in a enviromental friendly way. They are HVE-certified and are on their way to become organic.
